THE DIRECTOR MR MARK KELLY OF THE COMPANY THE DECORATOR’S EDGE WILL ALWAYS COVER ANY COST FOR MATERIALS FOR ANY JOB CASH OR ON ACCOUNTS WITH NO UPFRONT COST .
AS FROM FEBUARY 8TH 2018 ALL RECEIPTS AND INVOICES WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SENT VIA EMAIL IN MICROSOFT WORD FORMAT.

THE DECORATORS EDGE ONLY PRODUCE ESTIMATES FOR INTERIOR JOBS AND MAY VARY ON SOME JOBS WERE EXTRA, MORE COATS OR UNEXPECTEDLY REPAIRS ARE NEEDED.
THE DECORATOR’S EDGE FEELS THE ESTIMATES FOR INTERIOR WORK GIVEN ON A DAY RATE BASIS IS A FARE WAY OF PRICEING JOBS PRIOR OF STARTING NOT JUST FOR THE CUSTOMER SAVING MONEY BUT FOR THE COMPANY REPUTATION ASWELL AS THIS WOULD BE UNFAIR TO CHARGE ANY CUSTOMER FOR DAYS NOT WORKING ON ANY JOB.
THE DECORATOR’S EDGE WILL ALSO GUARANTEE TO REDUCE THE INVOICE ACCORDINGLY IF THE JOB IS COMPLETED BEFORE THE ESTIMATED TIME SET OUT ON ANY NTERIOR JOBS .
THE ESTIMATED PRICE GIVEN ON MATERIALS COST CAN VARY DUE TO DISCOUNT GIVEN, STOCK ITEMS AND INCREASED PRICERS ON THE DAY OF PUURCHASE .

THE DECORATOR’S EDGE FEELS THE QUOTES FOR EXTERIOR WORK GIVEN WITH A BINDING PRICE BASIS IS A FARE WAY OF PRICEING EXTERIOR JOBS PRIOR OF STARTING NOT JUST FOR THE CUSTOMER KNOWING A EXACT COST IN LABOUR BUT DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS HAVING A GREAT PART TO PLAY AND THAT THIS MAY REQUIRE HALF DAYS WORKED THAN IT WOULD BE THE DECORATORS EDGE RESPOSIBILITY TO MAKE UP THE COST AND TIME ON THE JOB WERE NECESSARY.
ALL EXTERIOR JOBS WILL BE INVOICED ON DAY 1 AND IS REQUIRE PAYMENT WHITHIN THE FIRST 3 DAYS STARTING THE JOB OF THE SUM OF 25% OF THE BALANCE THEN ANOTHER PAYMENT HALF WAY THROUGH THE WORK OF THE SUM OF ANOTHER 25%. OF THE BALANCE AND THE FINAL PAYMENT OF 50% WILL DUE ON COMPLETION DATE.
THE PRICE GIVEN FOR EXTERIOR MATERIALS IS NOT A BINDING COST DUE TO THE COST CAN VARY DUE TO DISCOUNT GIVEN, STOCK ITEMS AND INCREASED PRICERS ON THE DAY OF PUURCHASE BUT THE COST OF THE JOB WILL BE BINDING AS IT IS A QUOTE AND NOT A ESTIMATE.
LABOUR COST FOR CONTRACTOR THE DECORATORS EDGE AND ANY OF THERE SUB CONTRACTORS
THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF 3% ON CHEQUE PAYMENTS DUE TO BANK TRANSACTION FEES AND MUST BE WRITTEN OUT TO THE COMPANY THE DECORATORS EDGE.
PAYPAL, CASH AND BANK TRANSFER ARE STILL FREE OF CHARGE.
ALL INVOICES HAS TO BE PAID WHITHIN THREE DAYS OF INVOICE DATE DUE BEFORE CHARGES APPLY.
INVOICES USUALLY ARE INVOICED ON FRIDAY MORNING THAN PAYMENT MUST BE MADE THAT DAY OR BY SUNDAY BEFORE 5% FEES APPLY.
INVOICES ALSO MAY GET INVOICE DURING THE WEEK DUE TO BEING SMALL JOBS WHICH THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY THE INVOICE WILL NEED PAYING WHITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE INVOICE DUE DATE ASWELL.
LATE PAYMENTS ON OVER DUE INVOICE BEYOND 7 DAYS
IF LATE PAYMENT OCCURS THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF 5% ON ANY OUTSTANDING LABOUR COST EVERY DAY ON THE BALANCE OF THE INVOICE UPTO THE DATE THE INVOICE IS PAID IN FULL AND WILL BE INVOICED SEPARATELY FROM ORIGINAL INVOICE CLEARLY SAYING OVERDUE PAYMENT INVOICE IN RED PRINT.
If the overdue payment is more than seven days over the original over due invoice than the original and overdue invoices will be passed to a 3rd party debt collection agency which will occur higher costs and you may also be prosecuted.

A CONFIRMED EMAIL MUST BE SENT TO CONFIRM THAT YOU AGREE WITH THE INTERIOR ESTIMATE OR EXTERIOR QUOTE AND DOING SO YOU AGREE ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT SET OUT IN THIS FORM.

ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising may consist of screwing pva banner or timber framed banner as shown in the pictures to the exterior fence panels or interior fence panelling.
If you have any concerns or problems regarding these types of methods of advertising outside of your property when the redecoation needs are commencing then please don’t hesitate to say as this will not be a problem as the alternative can be a small A FRAME advertising board which will only be displayed at floor height and will be chained up to the nearest post or access point to the property.

CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By making a reservation with the decorators edge, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation terms and conditions.
The general cancellation terms and conditions are that if you have booked work with the contractor the decorators edge or there subcontractors for any contracted work set out in the Interior Estimated / Exterior Quote provided by email,phone or hand printed a notice required to cancel will be 24h with no exceptions.
If materials are purchased and than the customer decides to cancel there will be a charge of £10.00 added for the time taken to order the materials.
The charge for ordering materials is still free of charge if jobs are proceeds as scheduled.
The Decorator’s Edge always purchase materials five days prior to starting any job and if the contracted work is cancelled within the prior notice of 24h period the full amount for any material plus a £10.00 fee cost you will be liable to pay the full amount within 3 working days as set out in the decorators edge 3 days payment terms and conditions.
Please note that any contracted work reservation which requires down payment or (wholly or partly) can be refunded back within 7 days excluding any materiel cost as these have all ready been purchase five days prior from relevant suppliers and repayment terms may vary according to customers.
Late payment, of the materials amount will be charge at the same rate set out in the 3 day payment terms and conditions unless the decorators edge agrees or allows otherwise under its 3 day payment terms and conditions policy.
Estate agents and landlords additional terms and conditions.
If the contracted work booked in by any estate agents and landlords are cancelled by the tenants, estate agents and landlords without the prior 24h notice the full amount for any material and labour cost the estate agents and landlords is liable to pay the full amount within 3 working days as set out in the decorators edge 3 days payment terms and conditions.
These additional terms added for estate agents and landlords set out can be over ruled by the director of the company only one time if the estate agents or landlord rebook the work in at a more convenient dates but cost of materials will still need to be paid

Colors seem to change under different light conditions. That’s why it’s never good to choose a color while standing in a paint store.
You really need to look at color samples in the actual space you deside to paint. It’s also good to look at it in the daytime and the night time, and with lamps on and off, It’s impossible for a paint color to look the same in all lighting conditions.
Choosing paint colors in natural sunlight is ideal. Natural sunlight provides the neutral balance between warm and cool ends of the light spectrum (yellow and blue, respectively).
If you paint two rooms – one with a northern face exposure and one with a southern face exposure – the wall color will look different in each room.
Even natural sunlight isn’t consistent. It changes throughout the day and varies if it’s cloudy or clear. The shadows created by an overcast day impacts how the wall color looks, as well.
Incandescent and halogen lights enhance reds and yellows and mute blues and greens. Fluorescent lights enhance blues and greens and mute reds and yellows.
To further complicate things, wall color lit from above is going to look a bit different than wall color lit from floor and table lamps.
Some colors are more difficult than others. Grays, taupes, gray-blue, gray-greens, lavenders, and mauves are particularly affected by lighting conditions more.

The difference between a quotation and an estimate
It's impossible for businesses to give standard prices for goods and services.
This may be because the skills, time and materials required for each job vary depending on different customers' needs and weather conditions.
This situation is more common in some trades than others - decorators or builders, for example, rarely do exactly the same job twice. When it's not possible to work from a standard price list, you have to give a estimate instead.
A QUOTETION is a fixed price offer that can't be changed once accepted by the customer. This holds true even if you have to carry out much more work than you expected.
Extra work added by customer after the origanal estimate / quote which is not on the job description plan will be priced accordenly.
I will also specify in the quotation precisely what it covers, and that variations outside of this will be subject to additional charges.
This can sometimes cost the customer more money in labour cost if the job is completed in less time as the customer will still have to pay for full quote as it is a binding price .

An ESTIMATE is an educated guess at what a job may cost - but it isn't binding. To take account of possible unforeseen developments, I will provide a detailed estimate based on various circumstances, including the worst-case scenario. This will prevent the customer from being surprised by the costs.
I will provide only a estimates in writing or via email and this will include a detailed breakdown. This will help you to avoid any disputes about what work is included in your overall price and it will state clearly it is a estimate and not a quote .
If the job is completed early than I guarantee to reduce the final invoice and in most circumstances the customer ends up paying less than the estimate provided and I will simple go onto the next job.
It usually has a expiry date which will be 6 months after this time the estimate will no longer be valid after this time usually due to price increases.
